Karan Johar accuses Kartik Aaryan of “stealing” hit film franchises from veteran stars.
Bollywood just got a little saucier, and no, it’s not because of the new Koffee With Karan episode. It’s because the drama is offscreen. Karan Johar, the king of glitz and gossip, has fired shots at actor Kartik Aaryan for “stealing” Bollywood film franchises from the OG stars.
Btw, Kartik didn’t just sip the tea. He poured the whole kettle with his clapback, which is still gaining buzz.
It all began when Karan was in the process of promoting an upcoming Dharma film and casually threw shade at Kartik.
He said, “Some of the actors these days are trying to occupy franchises that were started by real stars. Just because you are popular right now doesn’t mean you can walk into the shoes of Bollywood legends.”
Everyone was aware of who he meant: Kartik Aaryan. The actor has been spotted in the sequels of large films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and is said to be looking at more franchises that belonged to the OGs of Bollywood.
But Kartik did not remain quiet. Oh no. He took out his pretend mic and let it drop in style. The following day, Kartik uttered, “Some people are simply envious of my success. Perhaps they should attempt acting rather than talking all the time.”
Kartik further added, “I have worked hard to reach here. If people want me in their sequels, it is because the audience loves me. I’m not stealing anything. I’m just providing the audience with what they desire, entertainment!”
Is Kartik a sensible actor taking bold decisions, or is Karan justified in defending the legacy of traditional Bollywood legends
One thing is clear: Bollywood is not just about lights, camera, and action; it’s also drama, drama, and more drama.
